John Abercrombie is perhaps the style-guitarist in modern jazz. He won numerous awards and has been well over 30 years throughout the world to listen to the big festivals. Particularly impressed I was his rhythmic game that knows no boundaries and marked by a rhythmic plurality is to be found in only a few musicians. In particular, he is a master of triplet phrasing. Harmonious in sound and his playing sounds in virtuoso passages always relaxed and vocally, which is of course supported by his excellent playing partners.
